i hate to say this, but i'm old enough to remember when this song was on the radio!!
there is another song that was popular at that time, i can't remember the name of the group, but the song was called "bus stop" (the group might be the hollies, i'm not sure) ... if you like this song i bet you'll like that one too.
it may be a late 60's rather than a 1970 song.
